Artistic rendering of the historic Newnan Presbyterian Church, in Newnan, GA. This is a double-sided ornament. Side 1 and side 2 have the same image. 

Timeline of the founding: 

1828: Newnan Presbyterian Church began -- not in Newnan but in Bullsboro, a trading post two miles east of present day Newnan. The settlement had been the county seat of Coweta County before the town of Newnan was incorporated, also in 1828.

Fifteen Presbyterian pioneers, eight women and seven men, met to organize a church, and for the next six years they met in a log schoolhouse in Bullsboro.

1845: The growing congregation built a new church on Jackson Street where McKoon Funeral Home is now located.

1873: Continuing to add new members, the church was moved to the present site on Greenville Street.

The new building, which cost $8,000, was dedicated on February 13, 1873, and with the assistance of its sister churches, was built debt free.

1926: The old building was demolished for the construction of the present sanctuary building, erected in 1926. While still under construction, the church was presented with a 15-bell set of chimes.

Dedication services for the new structure were held on June 20, 1926.

It was designed and created by a self-proclaimed music obsessed, lifelong marching band nerd, who is very excited to donate 50% of the sales price of each of these ornaments sold to a local marching band. Comes ready to hang with the included cord.
